When spending a week in Oshkosh for the Miss Wisconsin pageant I was asked an onstage question about this blog! Thank you to the viewers who support the blog, because in my 20 second allotment on the stage, I shared my mission with the blog to promote buying locally no matter where you are!
I may feature local businesses on the blog from the Green Bay Area, however, social media, such as blogs, have the capacity to reach audiences globally across the world wide web. So no matter where you are reading from, you can buy locally in order to fully immerse yourself in the community you are in, which allows you to learn what that area all has to offer!
While in Oshkosh for the Miss Wisconsin pageant I did exactly that! One of my sponsors for the week was Tamara’s Cakes. This is a small business in Oshkosh that has recently relocated. Known for their cupcakes, cheesecakes and more, I had the opportunity to have dinner with Tamara’s Cakes representatives to learn more about their business and how they have been supporters of the Miss Wisconsin Organization for numerous years! Not to mention, all of the contestants were able to enjoy some of the delicious cupcakes during the week!
What a great example of the relationships that local businesses can have with supporting events in the community!
Building a connection with local businesses tends to have its benefits! Local businesses tend to provide a more personal relationship with workers and artisans that allows costumers to gain a better understanding of where their products come from. Establishing this relationship allows consumers to be able to return to the producers with questions about the product or to learn about other products that compliment one another.
One example of a great working relationship that I have is with Anytime Fitness a sponsor of the Miss Green Bay Area Organization. I have had the privilege of building a relationship with the trainer there as I frequent Anytime Fitness in my preparations for the Miss Wisconsin pageant, which has given us the opportunity to work together and develop a sponsorship for the organization.
I am so grateful to be working with my trainer Steve Cappeart because he is definitely preparing me well to be the best presentation and healthiest self for the Miss Wisconsin pageant! this
